Jumia, the leading online shopping platform in Nigeria and Africa has won the 2015 e-commerce customer excellence award at the Nigeria Customer Service Awards.
The Nigeria Customer Service Awards, a prestigious annual award that celebrates service excellence in Nigeria, recognizes and celebrates companies that deliver effective, excellent and exceptional customer service.
The win didn’t come easy as Jumia was accessed by The Nigeria Customer Service Awards team based on their customer service practices in a process that included customer feedback (nomination), review of staff and management process relating to customer service and through mystery shoppers – about 302 mystery shoppers across Nigeria tested the qualities of Jumia’s customer service team.
Jumia is known for providing excellent customer service through a first-of-a-kind multi-lingual contact centre, which has been hailed by its customers across Nigeria, and via different social media channels.
The award, according to Managing Director of Jumia Nigeria, Fatoumata Ba “is a recognition of our dedication and a strong encouragement for us to aim even higher.”
Awards were also given to other companies in various sectors such as Information Technology, Telecommunication, Media (TV, Radio, Print and Online), Entertainment and so on at a ceremony which took place at Four Points Hotel on October 8, 2015.
The Nigeria Customer Service Awards, which aims to further raise the standards of customer service in the country, was sponsored by the 2014 winners of the customer excellence awards in the e-commerce and courier sectors, Konga and DHL.
